Before we went out in 2 quads today, Ta. threw down the gauntlet (=Fehdehandschuh) challenging that the Australia could go the same speed as the Hedi at 6 to 8 strokes per minute less.

The Hedi - big strong persons going for the high stroke rates => they finally broke the 1.30 barrier at the starts
The Australia - shorter, lighter rowers trying to row more efficiently and effectively at low stroke rates. no starts
Both boats were mixed quads - 2 male and 2 female in each boat.
