The wet winter turned parts of our boat place into a mud basin.
Resident engineers Tim and William decided that some grading and a lot of gravel would solve the problem.
9 tons of gravel (or to be precise: crush and run) delivered yesterday (paid for with a generous donation from Richard K. from Canada):
15 rowers showed up at daybreak (one engineer an hour later directly from airport) to address the challenge. In a total of 90 minutes they
- took the boats off the rack
- moved 2 cubic yards of clay to do the grading
- spread 9 tons of gravel
- put the boats back on the rack
How its done? By having fun doing it: there is a row in wheelbarrow:
We thank all 15 rowers!!!
Since we finished unexpectedly quickly, the perfectionist seized the moment and did some house keeping. Thank you very much!!!
